Credit Crunch

My “Credit Crunch” portrait series began in 2009 when the economy seemed in danger of shutting down. People were being buffeted by forces beyond their control. Scary times. I started these portraits by gathering and collaging material from the subjects' worlds. I use these text materials for the portraits to explore the incongruity between the news being reported, the individuals' public images, and the experience of the 99% of Americans who do not work on Wall Street.
